DOCTRINE OF DIVINE GUIDANCE
-
There are three categories of volition in human history.
-
Divine sovereignty.
-
Angelic volition.
-
Human volition.
-
Divine guidance is a subject for believers, since each believer is in God's
plan.
-
Divine guidance begins at the Cross. It is God's will that all believe
in the Lord Jesus Christ, 1Jn.3:23.
-
The humanity of Jesus Christ is a special case of human volition. Jesus
Christ has double volition (human volition and sovereignty), Mt.20:22;
26:42; Heb.10:7-9.

-
Permissive: human volition is allowed to go against God's will, Num.22:20.
-
Overruling: God overrules, Num.23:5,12,26.
